For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: 62 ℉ Overcast with steady light wind

Other Activity: One adult on nest; #2 adult flew in with food which I could not identify & dropped it into the nest; adult on nest ate for several minutes but did not appear to feed any youngsters; adult #2 sat on nearby tree for a little while and then flew away.

Observation Method: On foot

General Comments: It surprised me that they adults did NOT change places on the nest.

Other Activity: 2 ospreys on nest. One actively feeding self or , I think, young though I couldn't see them. Other one perched then after few minutes flew off and one feeding continued doing so.

Other Activity: Not sure if feeding chicks or self but think feeding chicks though I couldn't see them. Nest has a rim to it that small chicks could be below.

Other Activity: Ollie & Olivia were both on the nest. It looked like they might have been eating. Olivia has been up on the edge of the nest quite often the past few days which, I'm hoping, means the chicks have hatched. I watch several times during the day and am looking for little heads to pop up.

Other Activity: Male is perched on the perching post and the female is feeding the chicks. I can clearly see three chicks being fed.

Observation Method: from bedroom window

General Comments: both parents are still adding sticks to the nest and are very attentive to the chicks, feeding them often throughout the day. 2020-06-09

General Comments: Upon arrival we observed one osprey moving about the nest. Due to the angle and distance to the nest we are unable to determine what is inside the nest.
