For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Upon arrival we observed one osprey moving about the nest. Due to the angle and distance to the nest we are unable to determine what is inside the nest.

Other Activity: Two adults perched and preening in snag near nest when I arrived. Slight movement was observed on nest. At 0949, bird 1 and then bird 2 flew to nest. Bird 2 flew back to perch while bird 1 stayed on nest and preened. Bird 2 made several flights around marsh, each time returning to nest with a stick. At 10:13, bird 2 flew out of sight.
