For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: The 2nd osprey was perched on a nearby post eating a fish. The incubating osprey was quite active within the nest. Seemed to be distracted by something. Possibly a nestling??

Weather Conditions: 61, 9 MPH breeze, 57% humidity, clear blue sky
Other Activity: Female was incubating for the first 20 mins I was there; then the male arrived with a large fish, which they both proceeded to gorge on. Great teamwork: the fish was still alive and struggling to escape, but the male OSPR clutched it firmly until it expired. They were still eating when I left. I saw no signs of eggs or chicks.

Other Activity: One perched on edge of nest, facing outward. The other arrived and perched on lower perch, the one on the nest moved down to join it on lower perch. They stayed there.

General Comments: Olivia was on the nest across the river and I heard Ollie squawking loudly on his favorite branch in the tree right outside our window. When I looked out I saw a visitor circling around across the river. He didn't seem to stay long so Ollie must have scared him off.
