For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Went on the island and observed one osprey on rim of nest and the other in the nest. Nest clearly visible from walking path. Concerned the path near the nest makes it easily accessible for walkers on the island. Lots of dogs running freely as well.

Other Activity: I didn't see the osprey catch the fish. The bird came over the water with the fish, landed on the nest and started dismantling it. I couldn't tell if it was feeding itself or chicks. Another osprey on the perch.
