For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Olivia was on the nest across the river and I heard Ollie squawking loudly on his favorite branch in the tree right outside our window. When I looked out I saw a visitor circling around across the river. He didn't seem to stay long so Ollie must have scared him off.

General Comments: Female on nest. Male arrives with food and eats on post perch. Female gets up and stretches, resettles. Male leaves briefly, returns, perches on post and then leaves flying up Mud Creek.

General Comments: All’s well here. Male defended the nest yesterday from an intruder Osprey. The female has made some slight behavior changes. She is frequently standing up and poking down toward the eggs. Since I have not seen her feed them, I assume they are not yet hatched.
