For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: Very warm, 90 degrees + Sunny, blue sky with some clouds perfect summer day

Other Activity: The male was on the second tower with his fish After 20 minutes the female flew overhead with a fish. She tried to land on the third tower several times, unsuccessfully. At one point a gull flew by and she dived at it. Shortly, a breeze from the NNW came along allowing her to ride it high above the nest and land. She then fed the young. After another 20 minutes or so, the male, form the second tower, flew onto the nest and began feeding the young. When I left the adults were still feeding and on the rim of the nest.
