For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Both osprey perched on nest. As we approached both osprey took off and acted very protective of the nest against us. They constantly circled and screeched until we moved away and then they both returned to the nest. Almost like they were guarding something.

Other Activity: I am happy to confirm 2 chicks! They are holding their heads high and strong and keeping Bob busy bringing in the fish. He helps participate on the nest doing housekeeping and taking his turn to watch over them when Pauline takes a short break on the marsh perch.
