For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: 62 F, 4mph, foggy and then clearing
Other Activity: No osprey were on the platform when first observed on the way to Round Island. On the way to Brophy, and osprey was observed landing on Babson and perching. The osprey remained perched while I observed Brohpy. After about 20 minutes, it flew and flew onto the Brophy nest with the adult incubating there.

Other Activity: 1 adult was on the nest the whole time. The second landed briefly on the nest, and then flew to the top of a nearby tree where it remained.

Other Activity: 1 adult was incubating the entire observation. The second adult flew over from where it was perched at Babson at the end of the observation and landed on Brophy.

Other Activity: Male on nest; he raises to reposition/turn the eggs. I can only see two eggs, not three. Has anyone else observed more than two eggs lately? Female on "staging" post near marsh.

Other Activity: Two adults in the nest. At about 2:45 I observed one adult leave the nest to ride the winds out over the marsh, gain elevation and gently soar out over Coffins Beach.
