For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Olivia was stretching her wings and picking her feathers. Then she settled back in the nest to incubate. It is very hard to see her when she is tucked down as one end of the nest is built up.

Other Activity: One was on the nest, turned and resettled after about 10 minutes. The other was perched on a nearby piling. They stayed that way the whole time.

Other Activity: One incubating on the nest, 10 minutes later the other arrived with a partial fish. The one incubating took it and went to a lower crossbar to eat it and the other settled in to incubate.

Other Activity: Female sitting on eggs. Initially male was not around.
Observation Method: (on foot with binoculars)
General Comments: Male returned and perched on the pole while female remained on the nest. Did not observe if he brought a fish because a dog was wandering around the marsh chasing shore birds which distracted me.
