For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: Female is sitting deep in the new nest on Platform 1 and the male has been bringing more nesting material to the nest. Yesterday a big stick and today some soft material from the edge of the river. Most of the time the male is perched nearby on one of the other platforms or on a nearby utility pole. He sometimes brings fish to the female on the nest.

General Comments: Everything seems very settled with only occasional fly-by visits by other osprey.
