Where are Osprey Nesting?
For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Female on nest edge and seemingly feeding nestlings. Observed two heads popping up!
Observation Method: Pulled into UPS distribution facility and was able to view platform with a scope. Using the scope I was able to get a good look at the nest.

Other Activity: Single female on nest with lone male flying far from platform. Flying east to west. Unclear if this is the mate to the female in nest.

General Comments: This does seem like a long incubation period.

Other Activity: Female at edge of nest and three nestling's popping up and down during my observation.
Observation Method: Access construction site and walk-through site fence to walk into larger parking area/construction area
General Comments: Minimal site work has been initiated. No construction personnel available to speak to.
