For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. General Comments: no osprey visible in nest vicinity during first drive-by but one was perched on the nest steadily during the entire time driving up Law's creek and back

Weather Conditions: Sunny, warm, nice breeze, a lot of greenheads.
Other Activity: One adult and then a second on nest. Second left. Remaining one bent over facing two small heads. Very difficult to see but it appears an adult feeding two chicks.
Observation Method: On foot viewed from the Hell Cat dike area. The gravel road past parking lot 4 is closed for work. Viewed with 600mm lens. Definitely hard to make out what was happening.

Weather Conditions: Sunny, a few clouds, 82 degrees, some breeze
Other Activity: Female was on nest with two nestlings. Interloper flew to area and female and nestlings all alerted loudly. Male not around. Interloper swooped nest, female flew off to fish pole with a fish. Interloper swooped nest again and, presumably, seeing the fish gone, went to the river. Was surprised to see female leave the nestlings until I saw what she was doing. Nestlings are getting big and seem in good health.
