For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. General Comments: calling it eggs in nest for now because mom was low in nest with dad on piling nearby, but last time mom was onset (but not as low) and there were no eggs. I'll climb to verify next time I'm out.

Weather Conditions: 84 degrees, sunny, nearly still.
Other Activity: Two osprey on top of the big best. They don’t seem to have a nest bowl. One was perched and one was low as if incubating. Not much activity.
Observation Method: On foot from Refuge road and stage island.
General Comments: It’s so interesting to see the different kinds of nests. When they are incubating at the Haverhill nest they are so deep you can’t see them. The cross farm nest is giant but they seem to reside on top of it not in it. The Bill Forward appears to be a thin layer on the platform but they seem to have built the sides up a little. Hopefully they will all soon have eggs!

Weather Conditions: 87 degrees, sunny, slight breeze. Felt quite warm. It was just past low tide.
Other Activity: One osprey was on the nest in incubation position. There was another one flying around beyond the nest but not actively fishing and not interacting with the nest. One on nest was not calling. The nest remains thin.
