For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: The osprey remained perched on the nest the entire time observing but not moving much. I did not observe any activity in the nest.

Weather Conditions: cloudy, 81, sw 6 mph, gusts 13

Other Activity: female (presumed) calling then flew off nest and circled around calling. Then came back with something black in her talons. Didn't look like a fish but could have been, wasnt' moving. She landed on perch over nest and continued calling with black possible fish still in her talons. No chicks visible (only binos)
