General Comments: I’ve been away for couple days. Odd freaky morning. 1st time I’ve observed no bird on either perch or nest. What did I miss? One adult is back on perch. No idea how long both not immediately available in sight line. Female back in nest; he on far perch. Phew! Going to be awhile before my heart rate settles. Or not. She’s taken flight again; he’s still on watch Have you tagged chicks yet? When you do, please verify there is one, two or none in nest. She moves twigs around like I saw Annie do for more inside-nest area and more fortification against wind. Intense suspense. Last night’s rain was so heavy at times, but both birds were at the nest and/or perch.
