For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Observations during the week have been consistent. The chicks are growing to a point where you can see them most times that you are observing. They are being well fed and appear to be healthy. Let’s hope that continues through fledglings.

Other Activity: Adult standing on nest. Chick standing, facing into the wind, flapping, getting a foot or 2, drops back down to nest, does it again. Then chick goes down into the nest out of sight.
