For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Ang flapping above nest materials, and head raised occasionally—assume this is a nestling strengthening muscles, not an adult

Other Activity: Single Osprey observed perch on man-made perch at nest area not further out one in the marsh. My observations are that this is most likely a failed platform this year.

Observation Method: Walked out to edge of marsh via Jacobs Park

Other Activity: Only two of the three nest lines were observed. Both adults were on the nest at one time or another during my observation.

Observation Method: Pulled into construction site and walked out to get better viewing further out in the large former parking area.

Other Activity: Solo Osprey perched below platform on support post. Intruder flew in and this osprey fluid off and return to perch.

Observation Method: Walked to edge of river having parked in route 107 pull out area - observed with scope and binoculars

General Comments: Minimal activity seen on this platform for many weeks.

Other Activity: The two young did much wing flapping while female ate. Afterward, the female fed one of the young.
