Where are Osprey Nesting?

For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Quiet, low tide so lots of seals catches what rays they can. Pups losing white fur.

General Comments: She hasn’t left nest. He brought her fish this morning, and guards her from his perch.

Other Activity: female low in center of nest, male flew in from the marsh bringing a huge bunch of soft marsh grasses. Settled on side of nest.

Other Activity: Osprey one perched on nest rim. Second osprey arrived empty handed at 1:25 and landed on nest and moved quickly to nearby perch

Other Activity: One osprey in nest second osprey observed perched in nearby tree. After 10 minutes perched osprey joined the other in the nest and remained there until I ended my observation
