For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. General Comments: Both adults were on the nest feeding, possibly with separate fish. Then the female flew with her fish to the standoff post to continue eating. The male attended the nest. Then the female returned to the nest with her fish and continued feeding but this time clearly reaching out to offer bits down in the nest, though the presumed hatching was not visible.

Other Activity: Essex tour boat headed onto sand bar. Lots of boats coming to area.

General Comments: Parent on edge of nest and head way down in nest for last few minutes. Parent has been in nest to my left continuously for days, sitting higher in nest. Today we may have a hatch! Or perhaps there is egg movement. Hard to tell, but I’ve not seen this kind of action for the past few weeks of incubation.
