For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: The mail was perched on the side of the nest and the female was tending to the chicks, I assume feeding them.

General Comments: Happy to see Two Osprey on nest. Female stays there all the time. I assume she has laid egg or eggs. Cannot see in the nest.

General Comments: One adult observed perched on rim of nest for entire observation. No second adult observed in nest or perched in near by tree they typically use

Weather Conditions: 68, N at 8 mph, mostly cloudy

Other Activity: Both osprey were in the nest. 1 was in between lying down incubating and perching. The second was behind in the nest. It flew off onto the perch near the nest briefly, and then flew down and pulled off a fragment of debris hanging off the nest and carried it way off, and then returned and perched right behind the female(I assume). Both were then looking down into the nest, but I could see no little heads.
