For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: 72 degrees; low cloud cover; fog in the distance; no wind at all; high tide

Other Activity: The male was sitting atop the nearby perch pole (not eating a fish) and facing toward the nest.

Observation Method: On foot with binoculars.

General Comments: Female sitting deep, and at the center of the nest. Mostly just her white head visible.

Other Activity: 1 OSPREY ON OSPREY ON PLATFORM PERCH..OTHER OSPREY ON PLATFORM PERCH. OTHER OSPREY IN NEST. FLEW OFF FOR 5 MINUTES AND CAME BACK WITH FISH. IN NEST DOING SOME ARRANGING AND HOUSEKEEPING. FLEW OFF AGAIN AND CAME BACK IN ABOUT 5 MINUTES TO WORK ON NEST.
