For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: The chick is not trying to flap wings or move around. I only see one adult who primarily stays on the nest search and circles the marsh a couple of times per day. The adult has been seen feeding the chick beak to beak. Have not seen the second adult in days. The other chick went missing about 10 days ago. Not sure what is going on. Trauma?

Other Activity: adult and all 3 chicks on nest. adult left. 1 chick flapping wings and lifting then flew off nest and made a circle around another utility pole and landed back on nest!!! Called that one a fledgling if that isn't too early and I mistook an adult for a chick, but had scope so feel confident of seeing 3 chicks when 3rd bird landed again. other 2 chicks spreading and flapping wings and then all 3 seemed to be pecking at fish remains.
