For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. General Comments: Due to the distance and only able to view the nest itself, I was unable to see if there was an male in the general area

Other Activity: an interloper (+1) came by as one rested and preened on the tower. and the second was on the nest. +1 got rise out of the bird on the nest. then along came the preener to take care of business and drive it off. It really got so near the nest....the one on the nest raised herself up onto the edge of the nest along with her mate landed there. Quite a show!

Other Activity: osprey on nearby perch. Deep nest, could not see if osprey was in nest, no movement, but she could easily have been nestled down in nest and I couldn't even see a white head! Don't know if she was there or not :(
