For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Millie was perched on her nest both times we went by in the boat tonight. Parker was on the lower perch just hanging out for a while. When we came back by aprox 45 mins later Millie was still on the nest incubating her eggs. Parker was off and did not return while we were observing.

Weather Conditions: 69 degrees, wind WNW at 8mph, gusts to 16mph

Other Activity: When I arrived, one adult was sitting low in the nest, the other adult was sitting on the marsh nearby. After a couple minutes the other adult flew up to the nest and stood on the side. After a minute, it flew off. The adult on the nest sat a little higher in the nest and was constantly turning its head, looking left to right and back again. I left after 40 minutes. The other adult had not returned to the nest by the time I left.
