For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. General Comments: Female on the nest. Took tight 360 around the pole while waiting for male to bring fish which he did and quickly took off. Don’t think there are hatchlings yet judging by the way she was standing. One other osprey continues to be in the area as well as red tailed Hawk with damaged feathers that is often around. Neither too close today.

Other Activity: 10:45am and 4:45pm observation. question as to seeing small white in nest. Female only on nest

General Comments: First two morning sightings results were both female and male on nest. Third showed female only but MAYBE a small white head in nest.

Other Activity: Female's head just visible above the top of the nest. Male sitting on the nearby pole perch.
Observation Method: On foot with binoculars.
General Comments: Not much going on while I was watching, but another person who had been sitting there for over 2 hours reported that there was another male osprey who would occasionally come by and harass the first male. In those instances apparently the first male would go to the nest perch until the second male left, and then go back to the pole perch.

Other Activity: When observed on the way to Round Isl. and in front of Babson, no osprey were at the nest. platform. On the way to Brophy and osprey flew in front of us and went in to Babson with the stick. It stayed there for a few minutes.

Other Activity: Rechecked the nest when passing again on the loop. 1 osprey was incubating, and a second flew in with a somewhat round looking fish. It stayed for a few moments and then flew back out with the fish, and was calling from out in the marsh or nearby. The one on the nest was up briefly, and then returned to incubating.
