For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Annie feeding the older chick; smaller one resting in the nest and doesn't appear interested in food. After a couple of minutes the younger/smaller one woke up and Annie started feeding him/her too. Annie is a wonderful mother; she made a point of feeding more to the smaller one.

Other Activity: On arrival one adult on nest rim. 15 minutes in second arrived with fish then departed . Remaining adult demonstrated feeding behavior. Nestlings not visible. Confirmation of at least one chick was made when projectile waste originating from inside the nest cleared the rim with ease.

Other Activity: It appeared that the female may have been perched off to the north side of the nest, observed to nestlings in nest. (Either female or male was perched)
Observation Method: Walked out to viewing platform. With spotting scope.

Other Activity: Both adults on nest. Male flew off, female flapped around a bit, flew off, nestling popped up, female came back and settle down.
Observation Method: Walked to the rear of the MBTA Repair Facilities and viewed through chainlink fence.
General Comments: Very few other shorebirds in the general vicinity.

Other Activity: No osprey were observed on nest. I looked at it from the pier from several angles. It seemed the nest was more sparse than it has been in the past. Really not that visible which was strange as it was clear.
Observation Method: On foot on ferry pier with binoculars.

Other Activity: One adult osprey was visible in nest. It continued to raise and lower its head during the entire observation. No other osprey were visible in or around nest.
