For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Observed through binoculars from the marsh at Brophy; 1 adult was perched at the side of the nest, and 2 large young osprey were in the nest. The observation was from too far a distance to get more detail.

Other Activity: Initially 1 adult was on the perch and 1 young osprey was in the nest stretching its wings. A fish was delivered by dad in a quick drop off, and 1 nestling was observed eating it independently. I could not see the second young in the nest even after the food delivery.

Other Activity: Observed through binoculars when departing Brophy; was able to see 1 osprey in the nest and since there haven't been nestlings, I assume it to be an adult.

Other Activity: Initially the female was perched in the nest with the 3 large babies. A fish was delivered about 5:45 and 2 of the young were eating independently and it appeared the female was feeding the 3rd one (or she was feeding herself). The young are about the size of the adults now, and, after feeding for a bit, 1 was stretching its wings a lot. Its wingspan stretched from one side of the nest to the other.
