For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Female on nest for a few minutes with male perched out in the marsh. Good to see an occupant on the rebuilt nest!
Observation Method: Pulling into Wheelabrator site - at garbage truck turnaround. Viewed through fence with binoculars

Other Activity: Two adults in nest. One chick that was looking to work on fledging. I viewed this platform 10 minutes later. It’s completely empty! I quickly scanned the area and all three were up! Then sighted one on power pole and two on radio tower. An adult and a fledgling!
Observation Method: Cut through open fencing and use scope & binoculars for viewing..
