For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Observation Method: On foot with scope.
General Comments: I now can report with certainty that there are only two chicks in this nest. The third one has not been visible for some time, so it's likely it did not survive. I think it's safe to assume that it did not fledge, but rather, was a victim of predation. Poor chick!

General Comments: Can now confirm two chicks!! One looks quite a bit older than the other who still looks reptilian. Papa brought fish and Mama fed both chicks. Mama also standing in parasol stance to shield them from sun. The nest must be deceptively deep as I’ve been out several times this week and didn’t see the chicks. Mama has been leaving the nest for short flyabouts. Happy to see this family doing well!
