For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Adult and nestling. The nestling seems quite a bit smaller than the others observed in this area. Nest includes multiple dangling embellishments.

Other Activity: On arrival two Ospreys were visible in the nest. I then saw another on a high branch on Sawyer's Island. After 15 minutes, this Osprey (I think it was a fledgling) flew over to the nest. I then saw two Ospreys flying together, as if in formation for another 15 minutes or so until they both flew east and out of sight. Perhaps an adult was teaching a fledgling to hunt. There were still two Ospreys visible in the nest until I left.
