For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: one adult with two medium-sized nestlings; another adult flew by, low over the nest - adult in nest reacted strongly, but I couldn't tell why

Other Activity: 2 almost-fledged young perched on nest, 1 adult landed briefly and left. Young were alone. both spreading and flapping wings and one even got off the nest and landed again. Definitely 2 chicks. #rd one seen with scope on 6/29 but not since. Something must have happened to it.

Other Activity: 2 peregrine falcons perched on platform. A tern dive bombed 1 of the falcons, making it flinch. After a while they both flew off. Not ospreys, but very cool..
