For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: One adult (believe female) and one fledgling were at the nest. The fledgling was flapping his/her wings a lot but did not fly. Sadly, I saw two chicks when I observed the previous week.

Other Activity: 2 fledglings on nest. 1 then flew to top of nearby utility pole. Adult female on perch next to platform. 2nd fledgling left nest but didn't see where it landed.

Other Activity: nest empty then 1 fledgling arrived and landed on perch over nest, then adult female landed on nest. another osprey sitting with white front facing me on nesrby perch, either other fledgling or adult male. Couldn't tell because couldn't see wing or back plumage!
