For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: osprey lying down in nest. osprey flew off then 10 minutes later returned with male and mating behavior occurred. Then both of them hunkered down in the nest next to each other

General Comments: The heads of two Ospreys could be seen sitting low in the nest. Believe they were adults, may have been incubating. Wonder if they were hunkering down in nest due to winds?
