Where are Osprey Nesting?
For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: 74 degrees, sunny, some wind, nearing high tide, a few clouds
Other Activity: 1 Osprey on the nest perch and 1 Osprey on the nest. Then, 1 Osprey soared near the nest. The perched Osprey joined the soaring Osprey. Later, the nest Osprey flew off. A gull then perched on the nest. 2 doe's loudly leaped and darted out from some nearby trees. A smaller doe slowly crossed the marsh.

Other Activity: 1 Adult Osprey on nest with young, lots of movement & chirps, 1 Osprey soaring around nest, 1 other Osprey soaring to the right of the nest.

Other Activity: 1 OSPR perched on tower, 1 OSPR on nest feeding self and at least 2 chicks. Both chicks appear to be large enough to fly. The 3rd chick was not visible.

Other Activity: One adult and 2 young perched, other adult eating. This adult then left and returned later. One of the young flapped briefly and hopped while flapping.

Weather Conditions: 72 deg F, NNE 8 mph, 0% cloud cover
Other Activity: 2 adults and two nestlings visible on nest at “MAR-02 Great Aquivitae Daymarker, Marblehead“ at start of observation period. A short time later, first one adult left, and then the other adult left too, leaving the nestlings along for about 5 minutes, then one adult returned and remained for rest of observation. Most of the time, only one nestling was visible, and it was quite large, sitting up for most of the observation period.
