Name: Jackie Hutchinson

Nest Name:
ESS-03 - Great Bank Platform

Adult Osprey Activity Observed:
No Osprey visible on Nest

Location, Date & Time of Observation:
2019-05-25
2:35 to 2:50
at: Essex

Number of Adults Visible: 1

Number of Nestlings Visible: 0

Number of Fledglings Visible: 0

Weather Conditions: 60º, moderate wind, clear skies

Other Activity: Nest empty; male perched on driftwood on salt march but scared off when a boat landed at the duck camp. Swung by Brophy (saw one bird perched) and Round (no osprey sighted) and then back past the Great Bank. The boat and people were still at the duck camp and the male was perched on the salt march closer to the far end of the marsh. Watched 3 osprey circle high above Choate Island on the end of the island with the structures. I am hoping that the Great Bank pair, both male and female are still around, it seems that at least one of the pair are staying close to the nest but I am unsure of the other bird. I have not seen a bird on the nest in the last three outings so I am sure that this nest will not produce fledgelings this year.
