For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Male on one of the rails, left soon after and didn't return. Female stayed in the high incubating position, shifted a bit. More of her was visible than had been previously.

Other Activity: The female was here all morning. At one point, she caught a flounder and sat on the marsh perch to eat it. The male showed up around noon and the pair spent all afternoon in and around the nest. An occasional stick was brought in to the nest.
