General Comments: I HAD JUST COME FROM OBSERVING GLO2 WHERE I SAW A SINGLE OSPREY ON RIM OF NEST. I HOPED TO FIND TWO OSPREY ON GLO3 BUT AS EXPECTED FOUND ONE AND HAVE YET TO FIND ANY INDICATION THAT GLO2 AND GLO3 ARE BOTH OCCUPIED. I SUSPECT THE GLO3 PAIR FROM 2020 ARE TRAVELING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN GLO2 AND GLO3 AND WE LIKELY DO NOT HAVE TWO OCCUPIED NESTS AND MAY HAVE TWO DRY NESTS AS WE DID IN 2020.

General Comments: Interestingly, during this visit I discovered two heron's nests quite near to the osprey nest. There was one adult heron perched on each nest. Years ago this was a heron rookery and I have seen the occasional heron in the area. This was the FIRST time that I have seen evidence that at least two herons are still nesting at Carter Fields.
