For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: Two adults perched on nest. A third osprey arrived and swooped down over the nest at which time one of the perched osprey took off and chased the third osprey around the area, even making contact with him. This went on for 5-10 minutes until that third osprey left the area. Still did not see any nestling activity in this nest.

Other Activity: This past weekend, the pair spent around 12 hours per day in and around the platform. They have amped up their eating, bringing in at least 6 good size fish during that 12 hour period.

Other Activity: Both adults and four young perched on nest. Male left and returned soon after with a nice fish. He proceeded to feed the young while the female remained perched. All of the young had a turn to eat. Nest looks very crowded.

Other Activity: Nothing seen on nest but one adult was perched high in tree to right of nest; after about 10 minutes this adult flew to nest and stayed with head bobbing, mostly down; appeared to be looking around bottom of nest; I spotted other adult on branch of tree several yards away from nest; then this adult just sat for at least 15 minutes & then flew to nest, dropped something & flew away; adult on nest appeared to be feeding youngster(s); I think that I saw two brownish heads extending above nest rim but only certain of one; after feeding, adult stayed very still on edge of nest
