For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: 2 Adult Ospreys perched on the nest/perch. Both flew as we were nearing the nest, soaring over and around their nest area. We also observed a 3rd adult Osprey soaring, over to the right. Two of us accompanied Dave Rimmer for this incredible event -banding the ESS-06 Osprey chick, who is approximately 5 weeks old! Absolutely amazing! I am thankful and grateful for this Osprey experience!
