For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: 2 adults on nest, occasionally looking down into nest; female went down into nest & couldn't be seen; one baby, brown in color, went up onto edge of nest and sat with male adult for several minutes baby went down in nest; male remained on nest edge, at times squawking (heard it and saw beak moving simultaneously); male continued just looking around for several minutes; baby joins male (same one or another??) on edge; looks as if baby did a back flip into nest (probably lost balance); left with male on nest edge and no further activity

Other Activity: The pair were here doing their usual routine. One interesting note from last night. A third osprey came in with a fish and ate it on the marsh perch. The pair got in the nest and carefully watched the third bird finish his meal. They had their wings ready to flap but no fighting happened this time. The third osprey headed out toward Ipswich around 8pm.

Other Activity: male perched on post; female at nest, doing something - either feeding self or housekeeping; I could see various nestling limbs time to time, but never got a head count - don't know if it was just one, or hopefully two

Weather Conditions: 79 degrees, hot, humid, just a breeze, after the rain, clouds, a little sun peeking out, a beautiful marsh scene

Other Activity: Two adult Ospreys perched on the nest perch, male flies off several times and soars around the nest and surrounding area. He always returned to the nest perch. Female back & forth from the nest perch, in the nest, & on the edge of the nest. At times shading the chick. I saw one nestling a few times. These 2 Ospreys have been working so hard to take care of their chick. Hoping for a positive outcome!

Other Activity: The pair was here all day. Activities included nest cleanup, eating fish, sitting in the nest together and sitting on the marsh perch together.

Other Activity: both adult seen the past few days not in the nest, but around nest. No longer incubating or feeding young ( if there were young, we never saw them)

General Comments: Likely the nest either failed or was predated. I think given the age of the pair, likely it failed. The pair is still hanging around the nest but not with the degree of frequency that they were .

Other Activity: no activity observed in nest. Adult observed flying high in circles above marshnear nest. At end of observation period, one adult returned to nest platform and landed on perch stick

Other Activity: 2 adult OSPR perched on rungs of tower; 3 chicks stretching wings, looking around exploring their new world.

General Comments: I've been on vacation and it was a thrill to return & see that the couple had produced at least three healthy looking chicks.
