For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Male (brownish, spotted breast) on branch of skag above nest; two or three babies in nest, flapping wings; female (necklace) arrives with fish; male hops down & all 5 eat; one youngster on rim of nest repeatedly flapping wings but only occasionally gets off ground a few inches & back into nest; another youngster did the same; one still eating (but not sure if baby or adult); then babies mostly down in nest with female adult on edge; male perched on branch of skag to left of nest & chirping (heard sound & saw beak opening); 2 observable babies in nest but could not see third (in fact because the babies had gotten almost as big as adults, I could not be certain whether there were 2 or 3 babies...2 for sure.
