Where are Osprey Nesting?

For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: one osprey in nest and other one perched on stick in marsh. osprey flew off its perch, grabbed a stick in its talons and brought it to the nest. soon after he flew back to his perch in the marsh

Other Activity: Watched this pair off and on throughout the day. Since I returned from trip (Tuesday ) female has been on the nest. A friend reported female has been on the nest for a few days prior. Male is bringing food to female, then sitting near by.

General Comments: Didn't think the pair was going to pull off nesting this year at the rate the built the nest, but looks like they pulled it together. Very exciting.

Other Activity: Male returning to nest with fish. Female on eggs on nest.

General Comments: pair tolerating new pair on the marsh but fighting alot with the Wonderland male that comes into the marsh daily.
