For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Very limited visibility as she has positioned herself on the far side of the nest. When incubating, it takes good optics and patience to see any movement from the top of her head. I left a note with the neighbor asking if he might want to join our team. He has a much better view from the 2nd floor living room in his house. TBD.

Other Activity: Gull tried to land on platform. Osprey flapped and gull veered off.

General Comments: Most likely was male from REV-01. I only looked at this platform after the male left REV-01. Gull probably thought it was an established gull landing.

General Comments: Single osprey, probably the female, appeared to be sitting in nest. On egg? Maybe....finally!

Other Activity: Female spends the majority of the time on the nest, hunched down so you can only see the top of her head. The male stands guard on the marsh perch and quickly flies to the nest when a third Osprey approached. The pair has copulated today followed by sitting in the nest side by side.
