For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Two Adults on the nest. One sitting low in a shallow nest. I checked the other platforms and they were all occupied, so this looks like a new pair. So I guess this means we can take down the for rent sign.

Other Activity: when I arrived female was sitting on nest and male was not present. Within 2 minutes the male returned and settled on the perch below. Several minutes later a third osprey began to fly nearby and the male perched on the nest. The intruder left after a few minutes and the male returned to the perch
