For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Perfect times as the male leaves the marsh to hunt, dives in the water to bring up a big fish. Goes back to oerch to eat. Female can be seen on the nest.

Observation Method: on foot, from the end of Island Rd, walking left on the marsh all the way over to the edge of the creek - observed at the same time as Brophy Salt Marsh Platform

Other Activity: One adult osprey looking out towards the river, laying deep in the nest bowl, incubating eggs. Wonderful! So far, so good!
