For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: I couldn't see clearly, but one adult was either feeding or otherwise tending to at least one, possibly two chicks.

Other Activity: No osprey on nest, nor nearby, for first 20 minutes. Then 2 were perched, one on nest, other on upper perch. The one on the nest then moved down to a lower perch near the ground.
Observation Method: on foot by scope
General Comments: Timing such that one of these could be one we saw on REV-01 earlier. Secondly, did REV-01 have a mishap?

General Comments: There were birds perched at this platform earlier in the day, but one of our party saw a third Osprey rial them up. They did not return during the time we were on site and a Willet was observed on the platform. So unfortunately it looks like these kids couldn’t get it together this season. Keep our fingers crossed for next year.
