For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Female is on a slightly built up nest...if you want to call it that. There is one chick that I have a photo of. Male is coming in with a fish.

Other Activity: Female was on nest. The heads of at least two chicks were visible in nest. Male was not seen.

Weather Conditions: Mostly sunny 75 very light wind.
Other Activity: Both adults in the nest feeding chick(s.) Can confirm one and 90 percent sure of a second. Slight chance a third was being fed. The most visible one appeared to be about 20 days old. Parks department and fencing contractor were there replacing field fencing including right at the base of the pole. The parents were not happy with female loudly alerting and male circling the immediate area. I told them about the chicks so they’d know what was going on.
