For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: one adult on post perch, feeding itself; one adult and one juv in nest; what is weird is that the adult was methodically feeding the full-grown juv; what is very worrisome is that I never located the second juv - it seems like even if it had fledged it would still be nearby, especially with food happening at the nest; I scanned the area carefully, and stayed an extra 5 minutes hoping to see it, with no success...

Other Activity: 2 fledglings and 1 adult in nest. 2 fledglings observed exercising their wings.

Weather Conditions: 81, little wind, sunny

Other Activity: First no ospreys visible, then one adult perched on a rock nearby, then 2nd adult came and landed on same rock as first flew off. Then other flew nearby and landed on perch above nest.

Observation Method: foot

General Comments: I suspect a housekeeping pair. I have never seen any behavior indicative of eggs or young in the nest. No heads sticking up, no young perched on edge of nest flapping wings, no feeding behavior, just a large nest.

General Comments: I think the chick that was left fledged since no birds were visible, adult or young. Did not see any flying near the nest either. think only 1 of 2 chicks managed to fledge.
