For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Adult makes a food drop in the next. The fledging in the nest had been squawking continuously. It moved it's wings do much that the adult couldn't land. After the adult flew away the fledging had one half of a consumed fish in it's claw and began to eat.

Other Activity: One osprey (youngster, I think) on nest when I arrived but flew off even before I had set up the monocular & didn't come back
