For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Female remains on the nest. Male flew in and mated with her. Male came back with a fish for her to eat on the nest.

Weather Conditions: partly sunny - windy (some movement at times of platform)

Other Activity: F eating fish on pole; M fixing soft nesting material M leaves nest; F seems to have gotten some fish caught in throat -- rubs bill on post F flies back to nest and begins working on rearranging soft material; at times looking around and "chirping"

General Comments: Again as seen in the nest at Cox, the pair of Osprey are hunkering down on the marsh, possibly because of the wind.

Other Activity: Female has been on the nest all day. Male is bringing in fish to her. I am assuming there is an egg to protect.

General Comments: Nest is well built this year. It is at least double the size from last year and has far less trash bags in it.

Other Activity: Osprey perched on empty northern platform of three at this site. Also another osprey low in the nest on the southern platform. Osprey see in same nest and position two days before -could be sitting ?
