For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Bald eagle made a fly by towards the nest and osprey fended him off. Female stayed in nest. A little concerning .

Other Activity: Think one osprey on nest, and definitely another on post nearby. Wind was so strong that hard to stand still let alone keep binoculars still enough to be sure about the one on the nest.

General Comments: What a windy day! We saw one of the Osprey fly overhead when we were walking out into the marsh almost as if he was checking us out. He flew overhead in the wind for a while and then across the marsh. The other Osprey remained in the nest for the entire observation
